I finally made it out to cover one of the Moral Monday protests in Raleigh, NC. I’ve been wanting to get down there for weeks and photograph the movement, but we’ve had blistering heat and terrible thunderstorms most of the summer. This week we finally had a reprieve from both, plus some of my favorite NC musicians were performing a benefit show, so I made the drive into Raleigh and got to shoot the gathering on the mall, the march to Fayetteville Street (next to the Capitol Bldg.), Reverend Barber’s fiery speech from the main stage, and then attend the NC Music Love Army benefit at King’s.
