Couture for a Cause

2010’s Couture for a Cause really set a lot of things in motion for me. I was asked to shoot that year based on shots I had taken at fashionSPARK, which were more event-oriented fashion shots, kind of like when I shoot a band. I’d never shot models before, but the CFAC shots turned out really great. I went on to take the Lighting Essentials workshop, buy my Einsteins, shoot some fashion shows and more models and finally “arrove” at 2011’s Couture for a Cause actually feeling confident. I scouted for a bit while I waiting for the models to get ready, and spotted this interesting garage door just off Glennwood South. When I saw Jasmine come out rocking this red dress by Kristin Robbins, I knew it was where I wanted to do the shoot. I had a few from this session that were contenders for this list, but this is the one that really stands out.
